Last night, T.I.'s NYC show at Irving Plaza was shut down after a shooting took place inside the venue. Three people were injured in the crossfire and Troy Ave's bodyguard Edgar McPhatter was killed.
Troy Ave was arrested as one of the shooters today.
T.I. took to Twitter this afternoon to issue a statement, sending his prayers and condolences to all the victims. "My heart is heavy today," he writes. "Our music is intended to save lives, like it has mine and many others." Read the full statement below.
