T.I. Says He Didn't 'Make' Snoop Apologize To Iggy Azalea

T.I. has now firmly established himself as Hip Hop's leading squasher of beef. He's been able to make peace between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, and he last week ended the high profile and mostly one-sided snipping between Snoop Dogg and Iggy Azalea.

The ATL emcee spoke to MTV about his latest round of mediation, which led to Snoop issuing a video apology for disparaging Azelea in the crudest of terms.

"I stepped in when it became a public topic of discussion," T.I. explained. "When it stopped being between two people and it was being observed by the world, and it was almost like people were tuning in just to see what was happening next."

According to T.I., who has acted as a mentor to Azalea, he put no pressure on Snoop to make the apology during what was a "very cordial" conversation.

"He immediately said he knew what I was calling about and just assured me it was nothing to even worry about. It’s over with. And we started talking about something else immediately," he said, making it clear that it was Snoop's own personal decision to patch things up with Azalea. "I didn't make Snoop do anything."

Of course, any good mediator knows it's best to minimize his role in the process. And any marketing savvy Hip Hop peacemaker would know it's good to squash high profile beef right before your album comes out. Paperwork, T.I.'s ninth studio album, dropped yesterday.
