The Game works fast.

Just hours after Prince died, Game had dropped a tribute song for the legend.

'Rest In Purple' samples Prince's hit 'When Doves Cry' and features Lorine Chia.

In its bars, Game tries to process the death of one of his heroes.

“Why everybody gotta die so damn soon?” he raps. “All these legends dying, God gotta be runnin’ out of room/ How he die? Don’t nobody even know yet/ All I know is I ain’t ready to go yet.”
Check it out:

@Prince was such a huge inspiration to my life from a child watching #PurpleRain til the time I met him at Universal Music in 2006.... I was a fan then & I am a fan now ! His death was untimely & tragic... I'm sure the world is saddened as I was when I woke up to the news today.... Long story short, @bongobytheway hit me & told me stop by the studio & record a small tribute to him & his legacy & once I heard the beat, I hit @LorineChia to do the hook..... Hope you appreciate it.... Copy & paste this or CLICK THE LINK IN MY BIO #RestInPurple #YouWillBeMissed #AnotherLegendGone2Soon
