The Los Angeles Lakers won't have a lot of time to enjoy their championship before having to defend it, because the new season will be starting soon.
It's been reported that the 2020-2021 season will be 72-games long and begin on Dec. 22. The move was approved by the National Basketball Players Association on Thursday after being proposed by the NBA. Training camp will commence on Dec. 1.
The players association and the NBA are now in the process of working out COVID-19 safety measures. So more details about the new season is forthcoming.
