Vince McMahon's XFL had its self a moment before getting crushed by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Now it's going to be The Rock's XFL.

The football player turned wrestler turned movie star has bought the league for $15 million,  weeks before the league's assets were going to be auctioned off in a bankruptcy sale.

Dwayne Johnson is partnering with Dany Garcia and investment firm RedBird Capital on the purchase.

“The acquisition of the XFL with my talented partners, Dany Garcia and Gerry Cardinale, is an investment for me that’s rooted deeply in two things – my passion for the game and my desire to always take care of the fans. With pride and gratitude for all that I’ve built with my own two hands, I plan to apply these callouses to the XFL, and look forward to creating something special for the players, fans, and everyone involved for the love of football," The Rock said in a statement.

Do you think this is going to work out?
