T.I. has been arrested.

But it's not for what you think.

Tip is facing multiple allegations of drugging and sexually assaulting women.  But he was detained today in Amsterdam for ... riding his bike and talking on his phone at the same time.

According to T.I., he was so distracted he ran into a police car, breaking its side mirror.

“So I’m locked up now,” he said on Instagram Live. “I’m obviously not supposed to have my phone as I’m biking and because the policeman ran into me and broke his side mirror…and I didn’t have my passport on me. I don’t know. It’ll be fine. But He was extremely upset. I, myself, was out having a great time. I’m still not upset. They arrested me and didn’t even put me in handcuffs. They just opened the door and invited me to the backseat. I obliged.

In another video, posted to TMZ, Tip explains that he didn't realize the white van he hit -- and had been telling him to stop -- was police because he doesn't speak Dutch.
