Troy Ave made some news in his new Truth Be Told PSA by revealing he had been in talks with TDE to join the label.
TDE boss Anthony 'Top Dawg' Tiffith has now abruptly dismissed that as "fake news."

In Troy's version of the story, he began negotiating with TDE after Kendrick Lamar sent him encouraging words while he was locked up for the Irving Plaza shooting. However, Troy's ex-manager Hovain dropped the ball on the talks and nothing ever materialized.
It all seemed a little fishy. Especially since Troy had called Kendrick a "weirdo" rapper not so long before Troy said he got the encouraging words from K.dot.
Now it seems like Troy was either exaggerating or made the whole thing up.
