Tracy Chapman is becoming Nicki Minaj's worst nightmare.

In August, Nicki was forced to delay her album Queen because her Nas featured track "Sorry" had sampled Chapman's 1988 song “Baby Can I Hold You".

Since she couldn't clear the sample, she eventually decided to take the track off of the album, allowing Queen to be released almost on time.

Nevertheless, Chapman is still suing Minaj because Funk Flex and The Breakfast Club played "Sorry" and Internet users picked up the song and sent it around.

According to Chapman, Nicki reps tried multiple times to clear the sample this summer and each time she refused and made clear she wouldn't.

Chapman, who says "Baby Can I Hold You" comprises half of the lyrics and the vocal melody of "Sorry," is seeking financial damages for the leak and an order prohibiting Nicki from ever officially releasing the song.
