Troy Ave was just called out by another member of Ronald "Banga" McPhatter's family.
McPhatter was Troy's bodyguard, who was killed during the Irving Plaza shooting. Afterwards, the rapper set up a scholarship fund in his name. But Banga's sister said the family didn't know anything about it, and have asked to have his name removed from it.
"We hold him responsible for the death of our brother," said Jaime Albert in an interview with DNA New York. "My family is not trying to stop kids from getting money, but we don't want him to use our brother as a publicity stunt. We didn't get a call, none of us were aware of it until we saw it in the news."Albert also said that her family feels disrespected by Troy.
"We've done nothing to him, but he's exploited our family and this tragedy in such a negative way," she explained. "He used our brother as a human bulletproof vest. Instead of apologizing, he bashes us and he disrespects and he talks down to us."In another part of the interview, Albert said that her brother didn't even want to deal with Troy on the day of the Irving Plaza shooting and had sent two of his calls straight to voicemail while she was on the phone with him. But the rapper saw Banga in Brooklyn later that afternoon and convinced him to come to Irving Plaza to "have his back."
"He told us he was not dealing with Troy Ave no more," said Albert.
