Two Arrested For Fatal Shooting Outside of Meek Mill Concert

On December 30, 2016, Travis Ward and Jaquan Graves were shot to death in the parking lot after a Meek Mill concert in Wallingford, Connecticut. Two others were wounded in the incident.

Yesterday, police announced that 23-year-old Kyle Hampton and 33-year-old Tivon Edwards have been arrested and charged with first-degree manslaughter for the shooting. Their bail is set at $1 million each. There isn't expected to be any other arrests in the case.

 Wallingford police Lt. Cheryl Bradley said the shootings arose from a dispute that started inside the concert. Police have said it had nothing to do with Meek Mill.

When Meek first heard about the shooting, he claimed it was fake news planted so he wouldn't get a big NYE concert payday the next night. 

“Yeah, they really trying to slow these bags up right? I’m looking at this shit and they’re talking two people died, two people got shot. A lie. Somebody hating [and] trying to slow these bags up because we scooping up 250s," Meek said at the time.

But it turned out the shooting was very real. And now these two may finally pay.
