Kendrick Lamar's verse on his cousin Baby Keem's "Family Ties" instantly went viral when the song dropped in August.

On the cut, K Dot said he's smoking on your top five rappers while at the same time breaking out new cadences, using different word inflections and voice pitches.

Tyler, The Creator spoke about the verse in a new interview with XXL and said he's been blowing up Kendrick's phone to talk about it. He also said it ruined him.

"You know why it ruined me? Because it’s someone at that level still gunning,” said Tyler about the verse. “He’s trying new voices. He’s trying new sh*t. He’s still learning. You can tell he was off his phone for a few months.”[That verse has encouraged me to] just stay weird and stay tryin.'”
