Wale's had two albums, 2013's The Gifted and 2015 The Album About Nothing, open at number one. And his 2011 album Ambition, which opened number 2, actually had his biggest first week.
Yet, somehow, the 34-year-old feels like an afterthought in the current rap games.
It's gotten so tough out there for the DC rapper that he's having trouble getting booked at festivals. Even at a time when there are more festival than ever, many of which have rap heavy lineups
He joked/not joked about his festival struggles during a Twitter conversation with J.I.D.
Aye bruh. I think I got a lifetime ban on festivals .. can I be your DJs hype man #pleaserespond 🙃😢 https://t.co/R18a1eB6b7
