The Webbie show last night in Lafayette, Louisiana ended with shots ringing out throughout the parking lot at 2 AM.
One man is dead and a woman injured.
The police report that a Lafayette police officer moonlighting as a security guard drew his gun on a group of people he saw firing weapons. That group then fired on the officer.
"There’s no way to know who shot who,” Louisiana State Trooper Thomas Gossen said. “There were so many people shooting that we have no clue. It was only one officer involved.”
“It’s almost like one big incident,” he continued. “They started shooting each other first, and he approaches a group of people he thought were shooting and then bullets start flying at him. That’s when he starts shooting and then everything just continued to spiral.”
There's been a history of violence at Webbie shows.
