Legendary Hip Hop exec Wendy Day spoke on Drake's deal with Lil Wayne back in the day during an interview with Ruslan.

According to Ruslan, Cortez Bryant made some bold claims about the deal. [Jump to 2:30]

"Tez said that they saved up their own money, worked out radio. He said he was able to get Drake no 360 and a 75 percent royalty. That's what he said. That sounds outlandish.  Do you think that was possible," he asked Day.

Day confirmed the no 360 and said she wouldn't be surprised if they had been able to get that 75-25 split.

So also added an interesting tidbit about Drake's deal with Wayne.  According to Day, it happened before everyone knew it happened.

"The only thing I remember about the Drake deal is it was actually already signed when he was doing interviews about where he should sign," she explained. "When he signed to Aspire, to Lil Wayne,  the deal was already done when the Source magazine and XXL were talking about where should he sign."

Drake's deal with Wayne and Aspire has been subject to endless litigation. But that's mostly between Wayne and Birdman, it looks like Drizzy already got paid.
