YNW Melly has been locked for the past year and a half, awaiting trial for killing YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser.
He's having a good old time in the big house, flaunting his shiny new grills and watching stripper parties, courtesy of his mom.
But he may soon have to pay the piper: Melly could get the death penalty.
He may also have to pay the families of his alleged victims.
This week -- in front of the two-year statute of limitations on such things -- wrongful death civil suits on behalf of the families of Juvy and Sakchaser have filed against Melly, his mom Jamie King, his manager Jameson Francois, and his co-defendant YNW Bortlen. Each suit is seeking "tens of millions" of dollars.
There is a theory Melly killed Sakchaser because Sakchaser had a conflict with Melly's mom and Juvy got caught in the crossfire.
“We could be completely wrong [about the theory]", Juvy's lawyer John M. Phillips admitted, “but that's what we’re going to find out.”
In the filings, the families also alleged Melly admitted to the murders.
"There’s no regret for the sh*t that I did for that n*gga to die," he allegedly says on the video.
