Florida's first attempt to charge YNW Melly with the first-degree murder of his YNW crewmates Juvy and Sakchaser ended in a mistrial.
Melly is still locked up without bail and will be retried in September 2025.
Earlier this month, Melly's lawyer sued Broward County, alleging Melly was "illegally detained under conditions that violate the First, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution."
Yesterday, a federal judge ruled prosecutors have two weeks to justify YNW Melly's continued detention with relevant records and transcripts.
If they can't, Melly -- and his violent alter-ego Melvin -- could be bailed out on December 6.
