Yo Gotti was on The Breakfast Club this morning and the talk quickly turned to Young Dolph.

Dolph was shot last month in front of a Hollywood hotel and ended up spending a couple of weeks in the hospital recovering.

Gotti was staying at the same hotel and was briefly a person of interest in the shooting. He denies any involvement.

The Memphis rappers do seemingly have a history of beef. But Gotti disputed that in his chat with Charlamagne and company, suggesting Dolph's just playing it up for "marketing."

"I ain't got no issue. A really don't think [Dolph] has an issue. It's marketing. It ain't nothing real ... facts is me and [Dolph] never had one argument ... I can't even think of what it is."
Later, Gotti got Charlamagne to read the last text he sent to Dolph, which was on August 24, 2012
"That's how you got to approach this shit homie, just got to stay down and make the right decisions. You can win big, my nigga," Gotti wrote to Dolph. "You in a good space in Memphis but you got to take that shit from there to the world. It's gonna to turn into money. I like your grind, my nigga. When I was in your position none of them niggas that could have helped me did. Our city's fucked up, homie. And I'm trying to stop letting history repeat itself and show niggas we can make money together ... I got to make sure no matter what happens I did my part to help anybody I thought could go the distance. And you one of them niggas, homie. Even better you got your own movement and vision. You just need a real support system that understands what you is and where you trying to go and how to reach the people you're trying to reach."
Dolph never responded to the text.

You can hear Gotti talk Dolph around the two-minute mark.
