Judge Ural Glanville was recused from the Young Thug case after Thug and his codefendants petitioned to have him removed.
Thug's legal team had accused Glaville of witness coercion and intimidation in his judge's chambers.
In response, Glanville had Thug's attorney, Brian Steele, arrested for contempt because he wouldn't give Glanville the name of the person who gave him the information that led to the accusation of misconduct.
The move to recuse Glanville could strengthen the case for a mistrial.
A new judge may also grant Thug, who's previously been denied bond, bail.
