Bodycam Footage Show NYPD Officer Blatantly Planting Weed In Suspect's Car

In 2018, a car Jason Serrano was riding in was pulled over by the NYPD officers Kyle Erikson and Elmer Pastran for a broken taillight.

The cops began interrogating Serrano.  When he wouldn't let them search his jacket, they cuffed him roughly even though Serrano had told the officers he had just been hospitalized with a stab wound and showed then the affected part of his abdomen.  Serrano's wound opened up during the cuffing and the cops called an ambulance to take him back to the hospital.

When they searched the car, the cops found nothing illegal.  So, with their body cameras rolling, they expressed frustration and then blatantly planted a small amount of marijuana in the car's center console.

Serrano was cuffed to a hospital bed for five days and eventually pleaded guilty to marijuana possession.

Bodycam footage would also reveal Erikson and Pastran did the exact same thing to motorist Lasou Kuyateh two weeks earlier. Kuyateh ended up spending two weeks in jail.

After reviewing the same footage you just saw, the NYPD cleared Erikson and Pastran of wrongdoing, saying the allegations against them were "unfounded."
