It looks like Kanye West's God gambit has worked.
Hits Daily Double is projecting that Kanye's new gospel album Jesus Is King will move between 225-275k SPS and 60-85k traditional album sales during its somewhat truncated first week.
Ye's ninth album will easily be his eighth consecutive number one album.
While Jesus Is King will post nowhere near the kind of first week numbers Kanye was firing off during his Graduation days, it should top his last album Ye, which did 207K first week in June of 2018.
In addition, the entirety of yesterday's Apple Music top ten list was Jesus Is King tracks.
