NBA YoungBoy and DaBaby both have a recent history of strong sales.
So one would think their joint album, Better Than You, would do big numbers.
That's not the case.
The early projections have Better Than You clocking 30K in its first week, a big drop off from what the two rappers' individual projects have put up in recent years.
Late last year, the Lil Wayne-Rich The Kid project Trust Fund Babies flopped even worse, putting up about 15K first week.
So perhaps there just isn't much of a market for joint albums.
Or perhaps YoungBoy's YouTube machine turns off when he's not the only rapper on the record.
