Killer Mike Says Big Boi Started The Throwback Jersey Trend, Many Disagree

Lil Yachty created a firestorm this week when he said that New York got its fashion sense from Atlanta.

But at least one of his fellow ATL rappers backed him up in Killer Mike.

In doing so, he sparked another debate.


 

"I have Zero Interest in this lame ass debate BUT, Big Boi Started the Throw Back Jersey Trend with that cold ass Houston Astro's Jersey," Mike wrote on Instagram. "Kanye (Atlanta Born) set the record straight on that, God Bless Him.  Honorable Mention the 'Flip Flop's and Sox' look was Some sh*t from the Dungeon Family."

Afterward, some said it was other rappers who started the throwback jersey trend of the early aughts, not the OutKast MC.
