DJ Akademiks believes that since DaBaby's new Baby On Baby 2 album is projected to sell less than 20,000 units in its first week, he's being blackballed. It's a theory that he shared on Twitter this week, which got a lot of pushback.

“Da Baby’s last project in 2020, Blame it on Baby, sold 124K first week. His new project after being blackballed by Ebro, Apple Music is scheduled to do less than 20K,” tweeted Ak on Wednesday, September 28. “Now yall understand my Ebro convo… DSPs control who is hot and who is not. Fall out of favor with them… UR DONE.”

Ebro shot down Ak's claim and said there's no way he could blackball DaBaby since he's just one person and Apple is only one platform.

But Meek Mill and Boosie Badazz disagree.

"They blatantly blackballing DaBaby… not my business but ima observer. 👨🏾‍🔬," tweeted Meek on Thursday, September 29.

"Ain’t no way my n*gga @DaBabyDaBaby supposed to sell 16k after selling almost 150k his last first week ‼️he one of the BIGGEST n this sh*t ‼️I DONT KNOW WHATS GOING ON BUT SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY GOING ON ‼️" wrote Boosie.

Is DaBaby really being blackballed or are people fed up with some of his questionable decisions?
