Timothy Leeks Charged With King Von's Murder

Timothy Leeks has been charged with murder in the death of King Von (Dayvon Bennett).

“Mr. Leeks is in police custody at Grady Hospital where he is undergoing treatment for a gunshot wound,” Atlanta police spokeswoman Marla Jean Rooker told AJC.com. “The homicide of Bennett is closed with this arrest.”

Leeks was among the six people shot in a brawl outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge early Friday.

Two were killed in the fight, and one is in critical condition.

Police added that three off-duty officers who were working security did become involved in the incident and that the officers did fire shots.  However, that came after the fatalities.
